Stepping Stones Preschool
Stepping Stones is a non-profit organization committed to providing a high-quality preschool experience. The Board of Directors is made up of parents and community members who help develop policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of preschool to Proctorsville, Cavendish, and the surrounding communities.
Our Mission
The purpose of Stepping Stones Preschool is to promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of children in the preschool and kindergarten age group. We provide a high-quality, play-based curriculum designed by integrating with the Vermont Early Learning Standards.
Stepping Stones Philosophy
At Stepping Stones we recognize that children learn and grow in different ways and at their own individual pace. We feel it is our responsibility to guide and support children at their own level and rate of development: physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. The program is designed to build independence and empower children by providing them with many experiences in which they make individual choices. Throughout their day, children choose activities in which they will be involved. Teachers acknowledge students' interests as learning opportunities and are prepared to utilize them.
